Red Ribbon Week Assembly
Members of the JCYC group came to the Elementary School and presented a cute skit about the importance of wearing your seat belt and staying drug and alcohol free. This was our kick off to Red Ribbon Week at the Elementary School.
Halloween Hay Rack Ride
A great day to be outside enjoying the fresh air. Students got to enjoy a hay rack ride by Paul Lierz and a few high school students. Then they had to agree on a pumpkin to pick from the "patch". Tomorrow we will decorate our pumpkin and compete in a school contest.

Learning to Multiply with Arrays
This week we have been learning about the different strategies that we can use to find the answer to a multiplication fact. Today we used graph paper to make arrays. Students are finding out that there isn't one "right" way to find the answer, rather multiple ways to find the correct answer.

Body Venture
Students enjoying the Body Venture display at Jackson Heights Elementary. They got to learn about various functions of the human body from the high school students.
