My name is Kristi Altenburg. This is my 17th year teaching at Jackson Heights. I taught middle school math for 11 years, 3rd grade for 3 years, 1 year at 6th grade, and now back to 3rd grade. . I graduated from Emporia State University with a Bachelors Degree in Education in 1997 and a Masters Degree in Education in 2010. I love teaching and wouldn't change my profession for anything.
I am married to Darin Altenburg and have two children. Taygen, my daughter, is a 6th grader at Holton and Logan, my son, is a 1st grader at Holton. I enjoy going to all of their activities and they certainly keep me very busy.
One of my past times is running. You will find me running around Holton most evenings.
