On Wednesday of this week we used our math time to play some place value games. These games had students very involved in what they were learning and actively engaged in learning mathematics for 90 minutes. Check out our pictures and see what fun we had.

Plant and Animal Cells

Students in 3rd Grade drew a plant cell and an animal cell. Here is an example of what they looked like. They found that plant cells have 6 parts and animal cells have 4 parts.

Surf Shop Employees

Last Day of School!!!!

Wow!! We made it through. This is your last day as 3rd graders at Jackson Heights. I am proud to say I was your 3rd grade teacher. You have all taught me a lot about teaching 3rd graders....and I hope that you have all learned a lot this year. It is suppose to be spring but the weather sure doesn't seem like it. Do you like the continued cold weather or would you rather see springlike weather?
