Abby Takes a Stand..Book Summary

Drew, Abby, Cooper, Blayne and Mark read the book Abby Takes a Stand.  This books takes place in the 1960's and students were exposed to racial discrimination.  Students told me that the way blacks were treated in this story made them feel "icky" in the stomach.  They were astounded with the unfair treatment.  We had lots of great discussion.
