The Holton Optimist Club came to the 3rd grade classrooms on Monday, September 29, 2008, and provided each student with a dictionary. Students will now have their own dictionary to use at their desk. 3rd grade students demonstrated their ability to look up words using their new dictionary.

To learn how to spell words like dinosuar I do not even know how to spell it.
To find words and to see what they mean, and how to spell them.
I will use my dictionary for looking up word's I don't know.
I plan to use my dictionary for looking up words. Now I will not have to ask anyone to tell me what a word means.
