My favorite place to go is anywhere in the mountains of Colorado to camp. Camping in the mountains is a way for me to get away. My family enjoys our quality time together at the campsite. Camping in Colorado is always a great adventure. If I could choose to go anywhere in the world it would be to Colorado.
Every summer my family hooks up the pop-up camper and drives to some destination in the National Parks of Colorado. Without electricity, I spend the time unplugged from my computer, phone, and television. I also enjoy the peace and quiet that nature brings. I enjoy sitting outside in the fresh Colorado air and doing nothing. Camping is a great way to escape from the day to day realities.
There is nothing better than getting to spend quality time with my family in Colorado. The beautiful mountains provide unlimited places for my family to talk long nature walks. I can point out the many treasures that my children may not get to experience in Kansas. While on these nature walks, the wildlife, such as moose, elk, mountain goats, etc, sometimes grace us with their presence. I encourage lots of family play time, so board games and lots of make-believe take over the campsite. While my fast paced life may get in the way in Kansas, in Colorado, I have the opportunity to slow down and show my family some of the greater things in our world.
Camping for my family is truly one adventure after another. While at home I may force my kids to take a shower daily, but in Colorado we raft in the freezing Colorado Rivers filled with lots of melting snow. Driving up and down the mountain passes is a treat all itself, I have to be careful to not let the truck brakes overheat from the weight of the camper. Finding the perfect place to camp can make or break the camping trip, so I drive my family around until we spot the perfect place.
I wouldn’t give up my family camping trips to Colorado for any amount of money in the world as it is my favorite place to go. I can get away from the day to day grind while in Colorado, even if it is just for a week. Nature has a way of showing off its magnificent beauty. If not for camping in the National Parks of Colorado, I might not ever have a chance to view that. Adventures never cease while in Colorado and it keeps me coming back for more year after year. My heart would be broken if I wasn’t able to make my favorite place every summer.

My Favorite Place
One of my favorite places in the world is my room. I can get away from people if I’m stressed. There are a lot of things to do in my room. I also have all of the time in the world (Well, unless I need to do something) to think about things. I love to go into my room; it’s one of my favorite places to go in the whole world.
When there are times that I need to get away from people, I go into my bedroom. People can get annoying, so I go into my room to get away from them. (The only bad thing, they sometimes follow me to my room, so I lock the door behind me.) If I’m mad or sad or about anything, I can go up in my room to calm down. I can also do things (without anyone stopping me) that I want to do. So, if I ever, EVER need to go and get away from people, my room is always there for me.
Another reason I like my room is that there are a lot of fun things I can do. I like to watch television in my room because no one can change the channel on me. I can also sleep without being woken up. I can also play my Xbox 360 if I ever get bored. There are a lot of things to do in my room if I ever get bored.
One of the many other reasons I like my room is that it gives me time to think. I like to think about what other fun thing I should do in my room next. If I did anything bad, I could go into my room to think about it. I can also think about things that I said to someone and think if that was appropriate or not. Thinking in my room is one of the things I like to do most in my room.
Those are some reasons why I like my room. People can weather you down, so I go in my room if I think I have been weathered down a little too much. I like to do a lot of things in my room. Being in my room gives me time to think about things. If you would give me another room that was bigger, better and cooler, I would turn it down. I like my room just the way it is.
